Welcome to Mad Tunes Auto Diagnostics and Tuning (MTDT), a new kind of mobile automotive diagnostics & repair service where we come to you and diagnose your vehicle on-site.

MTDT serves both automotive shops and private vehicle owners in the beautiful State College, PA, area.
We bring our automotive diagnostic equipment and expertise directly to you, and work on your vehicle on-site by appointment.
MTDT specializes in solving driveability and electrical problems (no-start, poor performance, Check Engine light, electrical accessories, etc.). We will diagnose any year, make, model car or light truck: Domestic, Asian, Euro; modern or classic.
We also offer Key programming and replacement as well as module programming/flashing for late-model domestic cars.

MTDT unconditionally guarantees the accuracy and quality of our work:
Affordability
The customer doesn't pay a cent until MTDT completes a thorough diagnosis and recommendation for repair. We document all findings with notes, photos, and sometimes a video camera if the issue is unusual (see PHAD on YouTube).
Performance
If the initial diagnosis is incorrect (rare, but we are all human), we will perform the diagnosis again FOR FREE. Lost labor time and parts costs due to an incorrect diagnosis are NOT covered by MTDT.
Dependable
If the recommended repair is completed by MTDT, we guarantee the repair for 30 days. Any OEM parts supplied by us have their own separate warranty (usually 12-24 months for new, 3-6 months for reconditioned.) If these parts fail prematurely they will be replaced by us and the costs recouped via our suppliers.
Thorough
If the recommended repair is completed by a third party, MTDT cannot be held responsible for an improper repair. If a problem still exists after the recommended repair is complete, we will gladly take another look at the vehicle. However, if we find that the repair was completed improperly, or that the replacement part is defective, a separate diagnostic charge will apply.
Trust worthy
The diagnostic process often requires test driving the vehicle and partial disassembly to gain access to electronic components or wiring. MTDT will perform the necessary work and return the vehicle to the customer as it was prior to beginning any work. MTDT is fully insured, so any accidental damage to the vehicle is covered.
Flexibility and Budget Options
We are more than happy at MTDT to fit per-purchased parts and fluids but cannot be held responsible for unwarranted non OEM parts and any subsequent problems they may incur.
